Terrorism

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was one of the worst juxtaposition, the feeling of ecstasy changed to agony the next day in London. The feeling of getting the chance of hosting the Olympic had yet to sink in when it was replaced by mass panic and terror. A dastardly act of killing innocent people was calibrated and timed to coincide with the G8 meeting, but I am sure the timing more than anything else helped to unite the world in effort to give terrorism a fitting reply.

My deepest and heartfelt sympathy with all Londoners in this tragic incident and the whole world is with you in sharing the grief. No such cowardly acts will take away the energy of London and they also know it best.

Of all the good things that have happened with globalization, the most dangerous side affect is terrorism. Today terrorism has become a global phenomenon with terror attacks on New York, Moscow, Madrid, Istanbul, Jakarta, New Delhi and now London. The only way to eliminate terrorism is to give it a global response and not something like a country thinks it is terrorism only when it affects them. Terrorism is not something to be viewed selectively but it is an act against humanity, mankind and all forms of civilized societal values.

I am certain nothing can be gained out of killing innocent ordinary people and may this be the last such act before terrorism is isolated and eliminated.

Well, u reap what u sow. Same with the terrorism. US and UK were the ones who organized these Islamic fundamentalists groups in the first place to fight with Soviet Union during the Cold war. And now they have turned against their own saviours and not just them, they have gone mad in the name of the religion. Bombing every place in the name of religion is anything but a religious act.

    I totally agree with Kavi.

Satya, ... the so called 3rd world/poor countries were always not poor ... they were made poor ... the global response to control terrorism has to be by writing of poor countries debts (which in the first place was stolen by western powers), sharing technology (which was funded by wealth stolen) ...
