Hiking in Hameenlinna Park

The weather was so good this weekend that I could not contain myself in home. I ventured for hiking in the 'The National Urban Park of Hämeenlinna'. Here are few pictures from there. You can click on individual pictures to enlarge.

Map of the park showing the trails.

The trail.

Trees of the park

The Railway track goes between the park. The plate girder bridge.

The railway track.

The rails used are manufactured by ThyssenKrupp AG of Germany

View of the lake from the bridge.

A freights train coming from North.

Steel sheet coil coming from Rahe in North Finland (reason why I am here in Finland).

A passenger train coming from South (Helsinki).

Wooden trail. Wood is available in abundant in Finland.

Sun coming out from cloud cover. The small cloud patch gave a welcome respite from what was begining to feel like a hot day.

EU - Yeah you should go out. Summer is so short you should utilise it as much as you can.

Raj - To me it seems like a forest but don't know why they call it park.

Sher - Thanks. I was surprised to see the German firm supplying steel rails in Finland. So for record I captured it.

Killer - You will see these places one day. Who knows what life has in store ?

Sara - Haha, yeah I know Chennai is hot. I have been there many times. I have lived in +50C as well.

Sher - Haha, no I didn't go to the rails just cause I am connected to steel sector. But okay since I knew the name I noticed it. Or else it would have not crossed my mind. And watching trains pass by while standing alongside rails in some desolate place is one of my favourite time pass.

Freeze/Melt - Humans were there in plenty considering it is summer. But I didnt want to make a fasion show page. :P Information, haha, yeah make fun of me. Yeah I am being smartass.

    Abhinav - Thanks:)

TGFI - Yeah summer is just awesome !! and did you think we have snow all year round in Finland :D If you think so then I will put some more pictures :P
