Welcome in Bangalore!
My return to India can never be complete unless I step my foot in Bangalore. Though I had come to Bangaloretwo weeks ago, but I didn’t step outside of airport. Now when I am close to having spent one week in Bangalore, I feel that I am back in India.
As winters are never the best time to move to Finland, same way summer is never the good time to come to India or Bangalore. Last time when I was here for few days, I knew from day one that I am going back so I didn’t realise the feeling of getting back to India. But this time things are different. I don’t want to write all those things, lest it might be construed as disdain for one’s own country. Net to net, the shock was all there, cultural, social, political, economical all kind of shocks.
Bangalore has gone through a sea change in last 3 years; it is now hotter, more crowded, more cluttered and more difficult to live. The worse part is that I am a total stranger in this city. This makes living here quite difficult and so my life for time being is reduced to being in office, even on Sunday, right now. Hope things will get better with time, either this way or that way.
I do miss my life in Finland and everything associated with it. But it was me who decided to be back so I have no one to blame. Though things are not happening as I wanted them to be, but when do things happen as planned.

I know, moving is always such a pain. And feeling like stranger in your city must be worse. I still havent settled into this city, almost eight months now.
Hope you start feeling better. I am sure you will. :)

Settling in is a state of mind. With all that is going on for you right now, it is understandable that it must be difficult for you to settle in.
I am just happy you decided to write about it.
Please keep blogging and forget about political correctness. The bashing on this blog are really enjoyable.

Neihal - Thanks, Yeah I think I will feel better with time. Right now I feel worse. 8 months is a long time, I can empathise with you as well.
Mowgli - I will get over it and so true for Banglore. I wish no one has to ever come back to Bangalore.
EU - Actually this time I made a mental note of all those things but if I would have written, I would be branded as one of the usual returning Indians. Not sure if I can keep it though, sooner or later I would blog about it.
Project - Your comments are getting real funny :D I don't like dogs. And for sure I am not going to settle in Bangalore. And I am not a stereotype Indian guy :)

it was so good see a comment from you man!
You can make things easier for yourself by getting a pretty face to hang by your side ( provided I am not wrong that its still status quo)
or start loving dogs
though the four leggers are not substitutes for two leggers.

I used to like Blr but I have started disliking it now.
Even I stay at home during the daytime on weekends cos of the heat. But going out in the evening means traffic jams everywhere and no available parking space. The situation is sad!!

Yes it is so true. Some times I wonder why people keep saying India has changed for better now.I guess it was a better place to live when there were less traffic, less hassle and life was at least cool.
